Acclaimed author in town as Rochdale celebrates World Book Night

Literature lovers are in for a treat on Saturday 21 April when an award winning novelist visits Touchstones Arts and Heritage Centre in Rochdale. 

Catherine Czerkawska will be appearing at the popular venue to read extracts from her latest critically acclaimed book The Posy Ring. 

It is another gripping work from the successful author, who was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize for her 2013 work, The Curiosity Cabinet. 

The event is part of annual World Book Night, where people come together across the globe to celebrate a love of books and reading. 

The evening will also provide an opportunity for people to enjoy Touchstones' latest stunning art gallery exhibition, Reading Art. 

Punam Ramchurn, Rochdale Borough Council’s literature and ideas festival director, said: “We are thrilled to have Catherine speaking in Rochdale as she is brilliant talent with a lovely writing style and a growing fan base. 

“Her latest brilliant work has been receiving rave reviews, so this is a not to be missed night for literature lovers. It should be an enjoyable and insightful evening in the stunning surroundings of Touchstones.” 

The event is from 6pm-7pm. Tickets are priced £3 and are available at www.rochdale.gov.uk/events
