A Christmas mistletoe and gluhwein bar, tepee tent, and five days of festive entertainment are coming to Rochdale next month as part of the 2015 yuletide celebrations that kicked off last weekend with the big lights switch-on.
From Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 December shoppers can keep merry and bright while drinking at the bar, which will be next to Rochdale market in Smith Street, next to the Metrolink Shuttle stop.
And there will also be live music from a host of top talent due to be announced next month.
As well as a full programme of entertainment there will be festive food and drink and market stalls.
The bar and tepee tent, operated by Manchester’s Slice of Nice Music and Events, will be open from 12pm to 10pm daily.
Councillor Janet Emsley, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing said it’ll be a great place to come and relax after or during your retail therapy:
“On a winter day there is nothing more warming than a gluhwein and with five days of live entertainment, festive food and drink this promises to be an excellent addition to our outdoor market.”
