Businesses in the borough who want to get involved with Rochdale Feel Good Festival are being reminded they need to register their interest now, to ensure they don’t miss out.
The council and Rochdale Town Centre Management are encouraging businesses to consider staging their own mini event, demo or promotion and in return will promote it in the festival programme. There is also an opportunity for local traders to have a stall or stand on the big festival market, and food traders are especially encouraged to apply.
Event Manager Debbie Hernon said she is looking for imaginative ideas to ensure as many businesses as possible benefit from the thousands of people expected to attend the festival this summer:
“Once again Rochdale will be a hive of activity this August with superb live music, great food and entertainment. With thousands expected, it‘s a great opportunity for local shops and businesses to host their own event as part of the festival or to have a stall on the market. We are keen to involve as many as possible to make 2014 another success.”
Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott is already on the line up with more high profile acts due to be announced in early June.
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August, promising another explosion of entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall and a community stage on the Esplanade. Celebrity chefs will host live cooking demonstrations throughout the event which will also include a food market.

The summer festival, which celebrates its 7th birthday this year is funded by Rochdale Borough Council together with sponsorship from local businesses.
