Rochdale Wedding Show returns to the world famous town hall next month - and final preparations are well under way, with brides and grooms from across the region set to descend on the town.
The must-see show for all soon-to-be betrothed couples and wedding-related businesses will be staged on Sunday 3 March from 11am to 3pm. Organisers Rochdale Borough Council are planning another spectacular line-up, bringing around 35 of the borough’s creative, stylish and inspiring suppliers together alongside breath-taking catwalk shows. Outside there’ll be another collection of beautiful wedding cars that will get you to your venue on time and in style. Inside the town hall – one of the north west’s most stunning wedding locations - there will be a number of stalls and stands visitors can explore while enjoying fabulous live music.
Experts specialising in everything from dresses to decorations, flowers and wedding planning to photography, rings, music, beauty, cakes, invitations, menswear, venue dressing and lots more will be there, and exclusive discounts and special offers will be available.
In between wedding planning, visit the Clock Tower Dining Room for a complimentary glass of prosecco. Afternoon tea and lunch will also be served all day for when you fancy a pit stop!
Visitors will get the chance to see the Register Office, the ceremony room and Clock Tower Dining Room. Rochdale’s stunning Grade I-listed town hall is always a popular wedding venue and its picturesque gardens are the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.
Catwalk shows hosted by Lavina Rose Bridal Boutique and Denis Hope are at 12:30pm and 2pm. Models will be strutting down the runway in designer dresses during the 30-minute shows highlighting the latest stunning collections of wedding wear.
Experts will be on hand to offer you advice and answer questions. Whether you're looking for something traditional, would prefer a more contemporary theme or a civil ceremony, they will help you put together your perfect wedding.
Councillor Janet Emsley, the council’s cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture said: “Planning a wedding can be a daunting experience but over the years this show has given thousands of couples the information and guidance they need to plan the perfect day. I can promise that this year will be another fabulous showcase for some wonderful local companies. It will certainly be a couple of hours well spent for brides and grooms, their friends and families, packed full of stalls. Unlike many shows it’s completely free to attend, and no tickets required. A visit will save you many months of effort and you’ve nothing to lose.”
Rochdale Wedding Show is at the town hall on Sunday 3 March, doors open at 11am. You can also get free parking at the town hall.
