Extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Furlough)
The Chancellor Rishi Sunak yesterday announced in the House of Commons that there will be an extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Furlough) to March and Self Employment Income Support will be increased.
- The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS/furlough) will now run until the end of March with employees receiving 80% of their current salary for hours not worked during this period.
- Support through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) will be increased, with the third grant covering November to January calculated at 80% of average trading profits, up to a maximum of £7,500 (it had previously been announced it would be increased to 55% – 80% for November and 40% for December and January).

National Localised Restrictions Support Grant (Closed):
The national restrictions take effect from Thursday 5th November until 2nd December, with details about which venues MUST close down being found here:

Businesses that fall within this category are eligible for a Government grant, with the amount being based on the rateable value of your property. This scheme will be administered by the Council’s Revenue and Benefits Team and applications are now open. Information on how to apply, further eligibility criteria and the form can be found here:
Please note – this is NOT a discretionary scheme and businesses must meet the criteria set out by Government to be eligible, including trading on the 22nd October 2020.
