It started to look a lot like Christmas this weekend when the Christmas lights switch-on took place in front of a packed crowd by Rochdale Town Hall.
Rochdale Borough Council is asking residents to donate gifts to its Christmas Toy Appeal, which aims to make sure local children living in poverty have presents to open on December 25.
With the countdown to Christmas officially on, Rochdale Borough Council has announced its annual festive celebration, with the big Christmas lights switch on and firework display set to take place on Saturday 21 November.
This week is Get Online Week and events are taking place across the borough to encourage everyone to get online.
