To encourage people to visit the town centre, Rochdale Online has teamed up with Rochdale Town Centre Management and are offering £200 to spend in the town centre to the reader who emails the best advert for the town centre in less than 200 words (one for each pound!), accompanied by a photo taken by you in the town centre (the photo is not being judged, just your words).
Residents and shoppers are being urged to familiarise themselves with new walking routes around the town centre ahead of the proposed closure of the bridge links connecting the Wheatsheaf and M&S with the old bus station car park tomorrow (Thursday 23 January).
Rochdale Borough Council is hosting an event to teach residents how to waste less food and turn their scraps into gourmet treats at Crimble Croft Community Centre, on Aspinall Street, in Heywood, on Saturday, 25 January, from 12-2pm.
